For Belgian double bassist Jose Bedeur, it’s almost 70 years of looking at the world from a variety of angles, travelling the world through music and jazz. To mark the publication of the book “José Bedeur: “Memories of you” by Michel Mainil, published by Bossaflor, the Baixu wanted to pay special tribute to this great figure of Belgian jazz with a very special evening concert.
The evening will begin with a conversation with Jose Bedeur and Michel Mainil, during which you will be able to discover some of the many anecdotes that have marked José Bedeur’s career and that Michel Mainil has recounted so well in his book “Memories of You” (available during the evening). The moving musical moment that will follow this introduction will feature José Bedeur (double bass) in a band that will also include Michel Mainil (Sax) Jean- Denis Tourneur (Guitar) Patrick Wante (Drums) and special guest Philippe Quevauviller (vocals), who is also the editor of Michel Mainil’s book “Memories of You”.
